If you've already given Whereby permission to access your cam and mic, you'll skip steps 4 and 5

Get invited to a meeting, below is an example of what an invitation may look like.

To join the meeting, click on the link which opens a new browser tab (you can also copy paste the link if clicking doesn't work)

From here you will be prompted to type in your name that will appear in the room.

Once you have confirmed your name, to set up your cam/mic you will need to click on  Request Permission

Then click Allow in the browser pop-up to confirm.

After allowing access, you'll see an image of yourself and if you wish you can disable your cam and/or mic. Once you you are ready, you can click the Join meeting or Knock button to enter the meeting from here!

Now you're in the room! Enjoy your meeting!

Open up the app and tap on the Join Existing Room option.

Enter the room name you are joining and click Join Room

If it's your first time using Whereby, you will see a screen prompting you to allow mic and cam access. Tap on the Allow Camera and Microphone button and follow the system prompts

Join with Audio Only Mode

If you have a weak network connection, or if you just want to cut down on your data usage, Audio Only mode is a great tool to have! With this feature you won't receive or send any video data, and you'll only receive the audio data. There are two ways that you can enable Audio Only Mode.

From your Account Dashboard (account required)

You're able to join your own room from your Account Dashboard in one tap! Tap on the Microphone icon next to the room name and you'll join the room in Audio Only Mode

From the Room Settings Menu

If you're joining another person's room, you can enable Audio Only mode after you've connected to the meeting. After joining the room, click on the gear icon in the top right hand corner of the screen, and choose audio only from the sidebar list.

Android

On Android joining a room is as simple as opening up Chrome on your phone and typing in the room URL. This will take you directly into the room so you can start your meeting!
